Job summary

St. Elizabeth's Medical Center is looking for a dedicated Radiologic Technologist in Boston, MA. This role focuses on providing high-quality diagnostic imaging and ensuring patient comfort while adhering to safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will have completed a Radiologic Technology program, possess a Massachusetts State license, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and the medical team.

Compensation ranges from $40.21 to $59.74, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts State license and ARRT certification or eligibility.
  • BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Selects type and number of films for diagnostic information.
  • Prepares and positions patients for examinations.
  • Maintains cleanliness of working area.
  • Ensures flow of patients and quality of films.
  • Operates radiographic equipment with care to radiation safety.
  • Maintains professional demeanor with patients and staff.
  • Ensures effective patient care, including clerical duties.
  • Assists Technical Manager in process functions.
  • Completes patient tracking for billing and film retrieval.

Qualifications
Minimum Education / Experience
  • Successful completion of approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Level of knowledge associated with completion of Radiologic Technology program.
  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology preferred.
Minimum skills / abilities
  • Must be able to collaborate and effectively communicate with Radiology clients.
  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to satisfactorily explain examination process to patients.
  • Level of knowledge associated with completion of Radiologic Technology program.
Certification / Licensure
  • Possess a valid Massachusetts State license or temporary license and ARRT certification or eligible with one year to obtain.
  • BLS Required.
Job Responsibilities
  • Following departmental guidelines, selects type and number of films to provide diagnostic information required. May choose to digress from established routine under special circumstances depending upon clinical condition of patient.
  • Prepares and positions patients relative to diagnostic equipment. Performs radiographic examinations with a high degree of accuracy, minimizing repeat films.
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of working area.
  • Maintains flow of patients through area and quality of films under the direct supervision of the Technical manager.
  • Demonstrates knowledgeable operation of radiographic equipment with proper care given to radiation safety including collimation, shielding, and proper identification of films.
  • Maintains proper professional demeanor to patients, medical staff, and patients.
  • Performs all necessary functions to ensure effective patient care including clerical and transport/duties.
  • Assists Technical Manager in daily processor/film sensitometry.
  • Completes all patient tracking functions to ensure proper and accurate billing, report transcription, and film retrieval.
Compensation Range

$40.21- $59.74

This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
