Job summary

Brown University Health’s Rhode Island Hospital in Providence seeks a Radiologic Technologist Supervisor to oversee Radiologic Technologists, coordinate imaging procedures, ensure ALARA, and maintain regulatory compliance with ACR and JCAHO.

You will manage scheduling, training, student supervision, quality control, inventory, and budget input, while providing patient- and family-centered care across geriatric, adult, and pediatric populations.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration required.
• Current and valid Rhode Island license to practice.
• CPR certification (AHA/BLS).
• Ability to operate radiographic equipment and position patients.
• Leadership and supervisory skills for staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates work time, holidays, sick time, and vacation coverage.
• Guides, counsels, and evaluates personnel; may provide input on hiring or disciplinary actions.
• Manages patient flow by scheduling examinations and allocating staff/equipment.
• Oversees clinical experience and instruction of radiologic technology students.
• Performs quality control checks on radiographs.
• Handles clerical tasks: inventory, supplies, budgeting input.
• Assumes charge duties on weekends when needed.
• Adheres to ALARA principles in radiation safety.
• Performs all functions of a Radiologic Technologist.
