As a Radiology Technologist, you will administer roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients. You will operate x-ray equipment, develop films, prepare the patient's room, equipment, supplies, and medications. You will provide patient services using imaging modalities.

Prepare room, equipment, medicine, and materials as needed for patients. Clean and disinfect x-ray room and equipment. Prepare barium preparation and other chemical mixtures for x-rays.
Prepare patients for x-rays, explain procedures, transfer patients to the table, position patients, and assist patients at the end of procedures. Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific x-rays. Adjust equipment, determine proper voltage, current, and exposure time. Arrange immobilization and support devices to obtain the correct patient position. Adjust the lead shield and select proper films.
Radiograph all incoming patients. Observe patients and machines during procedures, report unusual occurrences, and record patient conditions. Maintain stock supplies and perform general office duties such as drafting reports.
Assist chief technologist in maintaining radiographic technique charts. Transport patients and follow infection control guidelines. Efficiently take mobile x-ray units to patients' rooms or emergency rooms.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiology.
Maryland State License.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Registered.
