Job Description

About the Role
  • The practice involves performing radiography and CT scans, producing diagnostic images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge of all radiographic and CT equipment within the department.
  • Prepare and position patients for CT and X-Ray procedures according to departmental protocols.
  • Adjust technical factors to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media (orally, IV, rectally).
  • Review patient charts for lab results and allergies before administering IV contrast.
  • Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self according to safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited program in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology.
  • Certification from the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
  • ARRT (CT) certification, required within 24 months of hire.
  • ARRT (Rad Tech) certification, required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain BLS certification during employment.
