HCA HealthONE Aurora is seeking a Radiology Technologist Nights to join our imaging team. You will operate X-ray equipment to produce radiographs and assist in patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Under the supervision of a Radiologist, you will explain procedures, address patient concerns, and maintain high diagnostic standards while working night shifts Monday-Thursday 9:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. A night differential applies.

Formación

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with current ARRT certification.
• Maintain current registry by attending continuing education activities.
• BLS required by AHA or Red Cross.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing/bending/reaching as needed.
• Prefer 2 years of acute care experience.

Responsabilidades

• Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
• Under Radiologist supervision, perform x-ray procedures and explain them to patients.
• Serve patients in the ED, hospital, and outpatient settings.
• Follow established protocols for ages neonate through geriatric.
• Maintain expert technical and patient-care skills to deliver quality results.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Department provides a broad range of services to aid in the screening, diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions and emergent injuries. A few responsibilities of our Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech)include:

You will operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.

Under the supervision of a Radiologist, your role performs x-ray therapy on patients and explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.

Your role will serve patients in our emergency department, patients in our hospital, and outpatient patients in need of services as well.

You will perform procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients ages neonate through geriatric.

Your role will be responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results.

What qualifications you will need:

• Completion of an AMA approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT.

• Mustmaintaincurrent registry by attending continuing education activities tomaintainknowledge and skill level.

• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Crossrequired.

• Critical thinking skills, decisivejudgmentand the ability to work with minimal supervision in afast pacedenvironment.

• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.

• Prefer2yearsrecent acute care experience.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
