Job summary

Avera Milbank Area Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic and CT imaging with a focus on quality and patient safety. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver clinically diagnostic images as directed by physicians.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or a certificate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT Certification required within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures accurately, efficiently and per established standards.
• Initiates intervention to radiologist or referring practitioner when immediate attention is needed.
• Reviews indications for exams and reports inappropriate indications to supervisor.
• Provides exam data for interpretation by reading radiologist.
• Uses PACS, RIS, HIS EMR systems and performs general clerical duties.
• Archives image data and sends images to radiologist group; retrieves stored images as needed.
• Maintains department policies, safety, and infection control; supports training of staff/students.

Education

Associate's degree or a certificate of completion from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

ARRT Certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
