Qualifications

• Applicants hired after a specific date must advance to level 2 within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history confidentially.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize factors, and follow ALARA principles for patient safety.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate image quality, verify storage/transfer, and perform post-processing as needed.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including OR/ICU settings.

Role Overview

Radiologic Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring accurate data acquisition for interpretation by licensed practitioners. They independently execute or assist with procedures, prepare and document medications and radiation exposure activities in compliance with laws and policies.

• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside of radiology areas like operating rooms or ICU.
