The role requires ARRT credential, Florida RAD license, BLS, and compliance with state/federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
• ARRT(R) credentialed Radiologic Technologist.
• Florida license as a General Radiographer (RAD).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or American Red Cross.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiology procedures including routine, portable/bedside, fluoroscopy and invasive exams.
• Regulate and operate radiology equipment.
• Review prep information with patients, explain procedures and obtain consent.
• Document patient information such as medical history and allergies.
• Provide calm, reassuring care to ease patient anxiety.
• Transport patients to/from department and coordinate with nurses on devices/monitors.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to obtain signed consent and plan exam timing.
• Verify physician orders before exams and document results.
