Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program.
• BLS Certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ARRT Certification (R) required for radiologic practice.
• Florida licensure as General Radiographer (RAD).
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations in radiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiology procedures using ionizing radiation, including routine, portable, fluoroscopy, OR/ED, or bone density exams.
• Regulate and operate radiology equipment and ensure patient safety.
• Review prep information with patients, explain procedures, and obtain written consent.
• Document clinical information such as medical history and allergies.
• Collaborate with nurses and caregivers to coordinate imaging and patient care.
• Verify physician orders and record results in the patient chart.
