Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our diagnostic team. You will perform complex exams, coordinate equipment, calculate technical factors, and ensure radiation safety while maintaining equipment and processing films.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced inpatient setting. A commitment to quality patient care and ongoing professional development is expected.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and current CPR certification are required.
• Minimum 2 years of radiography training in an accredited program.
• Working knowledge of radiological equipment and ability to perform highly specialized exams.

Responsibilities

• Types, proofreads, and mails results of the exams.
• Coordinates multiple factors to achieve a quality exam in appropriate timeframe.
• Utilize radiation safety devices.
• Attends departmental in-services and other staff development programs.
• Maintains and cleans equipment work areas and reports all malfunctions or breakage appropriately.
