Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our diagnostic team and perform highly complex exams on site. You will coordinate equipment, calculate technical factors, use radiation safety devices, and ensure timely, quality imaging, contributing to patient care in our community.

The role emphasizes maintaining equipment, staying current with CPR and ARRT licensing, and participating in ongoing radiology department training and safety programs.

Qualifications

• ARRT certified; current license as required by the state.
• Maintains current CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years of radiography training in an accredited program.
• Working knowledge of radiological equipment; able to perform highly specialized exams.

Responsibilities

• Types, proofs, and mails results of the exams.
• Coordinates multiple factors to achieve a quality exam in appropriate timeframe.
• Utilize radiation safety devices.
• Attends departmental in-services and other staff development programs.
• Maintains and cleans equipment work areas and reports malfunctions or breakage.
