Job summary

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment for routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment.

You will prepare patients, develop and transmit images to a Radiologist, and administer contrast media while adhering to safety guidelines and regulatory requirements. The role supports high-volume imaging services at a leading Texas medical center.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Graduate of a JRCERT accredited program OR AMA approved program OR equivalent military training.
• Associates Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.
• Current MRT certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT certification

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures.
• Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
• Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS with correct data.
• Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
