Northwell Career Site is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and ensure image quality and patient safety in a busy clinical setting.

Qualified applicants will have NYS licensure, ARRT registration, and completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program, with experience using Radiology Information System and various radiographic equipment. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program, required.
• New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration, required.
• Experience with Radiology Information System, PC, radiographic equipment, required.

Responsibilities

• Review imaging requests to determine exam protocols.
• Confirm patient identity.
• Communicate exam information to patients in lay terms.
• Perform radiographic procedures.
• Review processed radiographs for accuracy, viewability, and identifiers.
• Document exam completion in the patient medical record.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of exam areas and equipment.
• Monitor supply levels and inform supervisor of ordering needs.
• Notify supervisor of radiographic equipment malfunctions.
• Participate in orientation of new Technologists (if needed).
• Perform related clerical duties including data entry and logs.
• Perform related duties as required.
