Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State licensure as Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT registration.
• Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams.
• BLS through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and explains procedure in layman terms.
• Performs radiologic exams according to standards and procedures; positions patient and adjusts immobilization devices as needed.
• Monitors patient condition and reports concerns to Radiologist; enters exam data and tracks results.
• Processes and maintains exposed images; labels films and ensures proper identification and dating.
