Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking a Radiology Imaging Technologist to operate portable and stationary x-ray equipment, ensuring diagnostic quality while following ALARA and radiation-safety standards. You will prepare rooms and assist patients, documenting exam details and transmitting data to PACS promptly.

The role requires Florida radiography licensure, ARRT certification, and AHA BLS. The candidate will work in clinical environments including OR, ER, and inpatient settings,

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA Accredited School of Radiology Technology preferred.
• Able to relate cooperatively and constructively with patients, families, and co-workers.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to problem solve and adapt standard clinical procedures to the individual client's need.
• Ability to interpret, adapt, and react calmly under stressful conditions.
• Ability to work as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Operate portable and stationary x-ray equipment and prepare examination rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications.
• Provide patient comfort and safety during examinations.
• Document time for Fluoro cases, KVp, and mAS for X-rays in Cerner after exam.
• Enter and transmit patient information into PACS for interpretation immediately after examination.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and stock scan room.
• Report equipment problems/malfunctions to clinical engineering or supervisor.
• Follow Radiation Safety and ALARA policies and state/federal regulations.
