Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology required (R).
• BLS certification required.
• State license as required by the employing state.

Responsibilities

• Position radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic images with requisite detail for diagnosis and treatment.
• Explain radiographic procedures to patients and obtain relevant medical history prior to examinations.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards, including shielding and exposure control measures.
• Maintain and calibrate x-ray equipment; perform routine cleaning and tests; document results.
• Keep RIS/PACS patient records accurate and confidential; ensure proper data entry.
• Pursue continuing education to maintain professional licenses and credentials.
• Perform other duties as assigned by lead technologist, supervisor, or manager.
