UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a Part Time Radiologic Technologist for evening shifts (3 pm to 11:30 pm) here in Bolingbrook, IL. You will perform radiographic imaging, maintain patient safety, and support cross-training in advanced modalities while ensuring high-quality images and proper documentation in EMR/PACS.

The position requires knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging, post-certification experience, and strong communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging including Surgery and Trauma.
• One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers.
• Ability to analyze data, techniques, equipment operation and quality control.
• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
• Must be able to learn radiology software packages like EPIC and PACS.

Responsabilités

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff.
• Move, position, and operate radiographic equipment safely.
• Perform direct patient care within technologist scope.
• Ensure exam rooms are ready and equipment is cleaned and checked.
• Notify when inventory is low and cross-train into advanced modalities as needed.
• Follow ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
• Perform radiographic imaging procedures meeting department standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
