Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and maintain accurate records in EMR and PACS. The role requires effective communication, adherence to ALARA principles, and cross-training into advanced modalities as needed.

The position emphasizes high-quality imaging, patient comfort, and strict infection control, with benefits starting day one and a comprehensive leave program.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in Diagnostic Imaging with Surgery and Trauma, as applicable
• One year post-certification experience required to evaluate student radiographers
• Ability to analyze data, techniques, equipment operation, and quality control
• Knowledge of radiographic procedures/positions and ability to read/write English

Responsibilities

• Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete procedures safely
• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice
• Maintains clean, stocked exam rooms and ensures equipment safety checks
• Maintains EMR and PACS documentation and patient demographics
• Assists patients during procedures ensuring comfort, safety and privacy
• Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed
• Complies with radiation safety concepts to minimize exposure
