Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Elizabeth City, NC to perform general diagnostic imaging under physician supervision. Responsibilities include positioning patients, operating radiology equipment and electronic systems, and preparing rooms and supplies while documenting procedures.

Eligible candidates hold an Associate degree or equivalent, ARRT certification, and may be grandfathered if trained at merger.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic radiologic imaging studies.

Job Description

Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patients and completes departmental documentation.

Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $33.25 - $49.11 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center

located in Elizabeth City, NC, serves northeastern North Carolina with a caring team of approximately 650 employees and 150 medical providers. Our 182-bed facility features 25 specialties including emergency, maternity, orthopedics, medical, and surgical care in addition to our outpatient laboratory, imaging, and comprehensive breast services.
