Job summary

Sentara Health in Williamsburg, VA, is seeking a Radiology Technologist III for a full‑time day shift. The role performs general diagnostic radiology imaging under physician direction, including patient positioning, operation of radiology equipment, prep of rooms and supplies, and documentation of exams.

Qualified candidates are radiologic technology graduates from a trade program with ARRT registry eligibility; registry must be obtained within 180 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Trade school graduate in Radiologic Technology.
• 7-12 months of sound experience with straightforward procedures.
• 4-6 months basic managerial experience coordinating others.
• ARRT registry eligible; must obtain ARRT registry within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies under physician direction.
• Position patients to demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
• Operate radiation-producing equipment and optics systems.
• Prepare patient rooms, equipment, medications, and maintain supplies.

Sentara is hiring a Radiology Technologist III in the Williamsburg area!!!

This is a Full-Time Day shift opportunity with GREAT BENEFITS!!!

A bonus of 10K is available for qualified candidates.

The Radiology Tech III conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include: positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.

Qualifications

Trade school graduate (Radiologic Technology)

7 -12 months of Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems

4-6 months Basic managerial experience of coordinating the work of others

Registry-eligible graduates in lieu of ARRT, must obtain ARRT registry within 180 days of hire.
