Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II to perform advanced diagnostic imaging and support patient care in a fast-paced radiology department.

The role involves operating imaging equipment, ensuring safety, and collaborating with the health care team; cross-training in CT is required, with night shifts and occasional weekend coverage included. ARRT certification, state license, and BCLS are required; sign-on bonus and student loan repayment are offered.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of clinical Radiologic Technologist experience.
• 3–5 years in an Invasive Lab setting preferred.
• ARRT certification required; state license required.
• BCLS within 30 days of hire; ACLS preferred.
• Proficiency in EHR and RIS; strong patient communication.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images.
• Educates patients and families about pre-/intra-/post-procedure steps.
• Assists in in-service training and radiation safety practices.
• Performs invasive imaging procedures as needed while maintaining safety standards.
• Monitors vital signs during procedures and relays data to staff.
• Maintains accurate patient records and procedure documentation.
• Ensures all required paperwork is completed and signed by physicians.
• Checks radiology equipment for proper function and safety.
• Provides guidance and support to team members as a resource.
• Performs other duties and maintains reliable attendance.
