Job summary

Hocking Valley Community Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, prepare rooms, and provide patient care across age groups. You will be cross-trained in CT and work 12-hour shifts, 72 hours per pay, with every other weekend rotation.

The role requires an AAS in Radiologic Technology, Ohio ARRT licensure, and CPR certification. Strong patient/customer focus and independence are essential in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • AAS in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Radiologic Technologist license in Ohio and ARRT registry.
  • Two years post-graduate radiologic experience in hospital setting preferred.
  • CPR certification per American Heart Association.
  • Able to establish effective working relationships with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work independently; strong computer skills desired.

Responsibilities

  • Verify patient identity using two identifiers and requisition.
  • Assess patient condition and ensure safety during imaging.
  • Review radiographs for technical accuracy before release.
  • Prepare room, equipment, and materials for procedures.
  • Clean and disinfect radiology/fluoroscopy rooms and equipment.
  • Prepare Barium solutions and contrast media as needed.
  • Perform venipuncture and iodinated contrast injections if trained.
  • Follow proper technique: exposure settings, shielding, film size.
  • Develop radiographs per processing techniques.
  • Anticipate customer needs and communicate clearly with patients.
  • Recognize age-related considerations for infants to geriatrics.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and standards.
