Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Radiology Technologist – Acute to join our REMARKABLE acute care team.

You will perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, apply ALARA, and ensure patient safety. The role requires ARRT(R) certification, an associate degree, and strong communication to collaborate across clinical teams.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiography required; new grads within 6 months.
• 2-year/associate degree in Radiography preferred.
• Prior acute care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed.
• Maintain ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Ensure equipment performance and schedule maintenance.
• Assist licensed practitioner and support intraoperative imaging as needed.
• Work across acute care settings and rotate as required.

Overview of Requirements

• ARRT (R) certification in Radiography required (new grads within 6 months of hire)


• Prior acute care experience preferred


• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

What You\'ll Do

• Education: Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program. Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.


• Experience: Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.


• Licensure/Certification:




• ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R), required.


• Applicable state licensure as required, required.


• Post-graduates from an accredited Radiology Program with be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program, required.




• Additional Skills/Requirements (required):




• Possesses the skills and competencies necessary to work effectively across a variety of clinical settings and is expected to either regularly work in, or rotate through, an acute care facility as part of their ongoing responsibilities.


• Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patient, self, and others.


• Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws.


• Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices.


• Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs.


• Properly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.


• Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.


• Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following: ERCP?s, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions.


• Mobile imaging including lines and pacers and neonates.
