Job summary

Novant Health in King, North Carolina is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join the Family Medicine team on a full-time basis. You will prepare patients, operate x-ray equipment, and assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with strict adherence to radiation safety and infection control protocols.

The role requires ARRT certification within 6 months of hire, and a preferred 2-year associate degree.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program and certification within 6 months of hire.
• 2 Year / Associate Degree preferred.
• Certification required within 6 months post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and operate x-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Assist physicians in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
• Ensure patient safety by following radiation safety protocols and infection control standards.

Employment Type: Full Time - 12 hour shifts, Rotating schedule. Mon/Tues/Thurs then Wed/Fri/Sat (7a - 7p)

What We're Looking For

• Education: Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program. Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.


• Experience: Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred.


• Licensure/Certification: ARRT, required.


• Additional Skills Required: Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories. Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills, capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms, working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment, able to adapt to various situations and procedures.
