Job summary

Mat-Su Regional Medical Center seeks a Radiology Technologist I (PRN) to support diagnostic imaging with a patient-centered approach. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration with radiologists and clinical staff to deliver quality care.

The technologist will prepare patients, verify orders, operate imaging equipment, and ensure studies are properly documented in PACS, while adhering to ALARA and infection-control protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of clinical radiologic technologist experience.
• ARRT certification required; state license as applicable.
• BCLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Proficiency with radiology equipment and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures independently with high quality and adherence to positioning guidelines.
• Follow ALARA principles and participate in Image Gently/Image Wisely programs to minimize exposure.
• Prepare patients, verify orders, identify patients, and explain procedures for comfort and understanding.
• Document studies in PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain imaging equipment and supplies, ensure infection control and safe environment.
