Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a PRN Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort. You will maintain equipment, document in PACS, and collaborate with radiologists and staff to support efficient patient care.

This part-time, on-site role requires ARRT certification, state licensure, and BCLS within 30 days of hire, with focus on ALARA principles and excellent patient communication.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• State license as Radiologic Technologist required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures independently with diagnostic-quality images.
• Adhere to ALARA and safety guidelines to minimize exposure.
• Prepare patients, verify orders, and explain procedures clearly.
• Ensure patient demographics, consent, and identities are correct.
• Maintain imaging equipment and infection control protocols.
• Organize supplies and equipment for patient care.
• Document images in PACS for radiologist review.
• Communicate with staff and physicians to support care delivery.
• Identify and mitigate image artifacts to maintain quality.
