CHS Career Site in Flowood, MS is seeking a Radiologic Technologist I to obtain radiographic images of diagnostic quality while prioritizing patient safety and regulatory compliance. This role collaborates with healthcare providers to support efficient operations and optimal patient care.

The incumbent will perform high-quality radiographic procedures, adhere to ALARA and infection-control guidelines, prepare patients, and document in PACS.

Qualifications

• ARRT-certified radiologic technologist with state licensure as applicable.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• 0–1 year of clinical radiology experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs high-quality radiographic procedures independently, ensuring diagnostic-quality images per guidelines.
• Practices ALARA radiation safety and participates in Image Gently/Wisely to minimize exposure.
• Prepares patients, verifies orders, confirms identity with two identifiers, and explains procedures.
• Cleans and maintains imaging equipment per infection control protocols.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are organized and available.
• Inserts IV catheters for contrast injections during CT/MRI per policy.
• Scans and verifies documents into PACS for radiologist interpretation.
• Communicates with staff and physicians to support patient care.
• Identifies and mitigates artifacts to ensure image quality.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
