Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a CT Technologist to join the Radiology team. The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic services, operating CT and imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety through radiation protection principles.

The technologist will evaluate image quality, assist with interventional procedures as needed, and participate in QA/QI activities. A strong focus on confidentiality and patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Radiography program or school.
• Current Wisconsin Radiographer license and ARRT certification.
• CT Certification preferred upon hire and required within one year of training completion.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic services.
• Operates imaging equipment and related devices.
• Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure for patient and staff.
• Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification.
• Assumes responsibility for portions of the department QA/QI program.
• Supervises, assists, instructs, and communicates with radiology students.

Education

Graduate of accredited Radiography school

WI Radiographer license and ARRT Certification

CT Certification (required within 1 year of training)

• Schedule: 1p – 11:30p or 9p - 7a
• Hours per week: 32 - 28

In this position the CT Technologist provides patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician, performs radiologic and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a physician, and apply principles of radiation protection. The CT Technologist will evaluate radiographs for technical quality, and exercise professional judgement in the performance of procedures.

• Performs diagnostic radiographic services
• Operates imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate
• Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to the patient, self, and others
• Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification.
• Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs patients during procedures
• Administers or assists with administration of contrast media, as required.
• Assists physician with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures
• Ensures proper documentation
• Performs quality control checks as required.
• Maintains accurate patient records and files with confidentiality, performing all PACs functions
• Assumes responsibility for portions of department QA/QI program
• Supervises, assists, instructs, and communicates effectively with radiology students

Job Requirements
