Job summary

20 Elliot Hospital of the City of Manchester is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and contribute to high-quality patient imaging in a fast-paced setting.

Per diem, on-site role requiring ARRT certification or eligibility, AMA-approved training, and completion of a 24-month clinical internship. Epic experience is preferred; BLS may be required during orientation.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiologic Technologist training from an AMA approved school.
• Twenty-four month clinical internship required.
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
• Required ARRT certification; eligible candidates may be considered if certification obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation and maintain during employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography procedures based on ASRT Radiography Practice Standards and Code of Ethics.
• Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols.
• Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance using the APIE model.
• Performs venipuncture.
• Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast.

About the Job

The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A radiographer performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or by the request of, a licensed independent practitioner.

What You’ll Do

• Performs radiography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Radiography Practice Standards” and the ASRT “Code of Ethics”
• Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
• Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model.
• Performs venipuncture
• Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast

Who You Are
