Job summary

Atrium Health Radiology is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic studies under the direction of a Radiologist. The role includes preparing contrast media, documenting patient history, and coordinating daily activities within the imaging department.

The ideal candidate is ARRT-certified or registry-eligible with CPR, capable of ensuring patient safety, accurate positioning, and maintaining essential records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by the procedure and demonstrates proper positioning.
• Maintains records as required by departmental standards.
