Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging under the direction of the Department Manager. You will verify patient data, prepare and position patients, and operate radiographic equipment while maintaining safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate data, patient preparation, and safe operation of imaging systems. A MA state license is required, with opportunities for growth and shift options offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved two-year radiography program.
• Six months radiography experience.
• MA state license for Radiography (RT) or RT Temp license.
• Maintain CEU records as required by management.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and prepare for examinations.
• Explain and confirm patient preparation for radiographic/fluoroscopic exams.
• Verify accuracy of radiographic requisitions and data.
• Position and prepare patients to achieve diagnostic images.
• Operate radiographic, fluoroscopic and digital imaging equipment.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort and confidentiality.
• Document procedures and ensure quality and safety standards.
