Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking an Radiologic Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services. You will perform interpretive, patient care and technical functions to ensure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients while working under the Department Manager.

Qualified candidates will have graduation from an approved two-year program and MA state licensure, with at least six months of experience. Competitive pay, shift options (including day/evening/night with no call), and day-one insurance

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved two-year program.
• MA state license or Radiography Temporary license (MA).
• Minimum of six months work experience preferred.
• Ability to explain procedures to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and eligibility for exam.
• Explain and confirm patient preparation and instructions.
• Review radiographic requisitions for accuracy and completeness.
• Operate and set up radiographic and fluoroscopy equipment.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
• Document findings and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and protect staff and patients.
• Assist with post-procedure instructions and care.
