Job summary

St. Mary's Health Care System in Lavonia, GA seeks a Radiology Technician for a PRN (various shifts) position. Under Radiologist supervision, you will perform radiographic and CT procedures, including pediatric and trauma cases, and assist with biopsies and injections.

Requires ARRT registration or registry eligibility, AMA-approved radiography training, and at least one year hospital experience. Flexible schedule and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Registered with ARRT or registry eligible if a recent Radiology program graduate.
• Graduate of formal Radiographic technology training in an AMA-Approved school.
• One year experience in hospital environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiographic and CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.
• Perform routine CT scans on pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, and trauma patients.
• Assist the radiologist in special procedures such as biopsies, drain tube placements, injections, and markings.
• Performing angiography studies of the brain, neck, and chest with 3D reformats
