Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team in Raleigh. You will perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures to support accurate diagnosis while delivering compassionate patient care across ED, OR, pediatrics, and outpatient services.

You'll participate in a call rotation across WakeMed locations and ensure safe imaging with proper radiation safety practices. Prior radiology experience is helpful, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) or eligible to obtain registration within 6 months of hire.
• Clinical radiology experience preferred but new grads encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and commitment to safe imaging services.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork with patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations producing high-quality diagnostic images per physician orders and safety standards.
• Monitor patient safety, comfort, and condition during imaging procedures.
• Work across Emergency, OR, inpatient units, outpatient services, pediatrics, and portable imaging.
• Prepare equipment and patients, verify orders, prioritize workflow, and maintain patient records in electronic systems.
• Inspect, test, and maintain imaging equipment in collaboration with physicians and clinical teams.
