GENERAL SUMMARY

Salary and Benefits

  • $10,000 Sign-on Bonus

Shift Details

Full-time, 40 hours per week, midnight shift 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM, weekend rotation.

Responsibilities
  • Take radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging and select exposure factors accurately.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Observe patient during procedures and report abnormal activity.
  • Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as needed.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct lead markers and patient data.
  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized department environment.
  • Position patients and select technical parameters accurately.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or
  • Associate's degree within 6 months of hire, or
  • Technical degree required within 6 months of hire.
Certification and Licenses
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted).
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed in Radiography from ARRT obtained within 12 months of hire or transfer.
