Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist (Harmonized) for the St. Charles Navarre Plaza site to perform diagnostic imaging under an authorized user.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care with strict adherence to radiation safety and procedural protocols. Requirements include ARRT diagnostic radiology certification, state licensure where required, BLS, and 1 year in radiation safety and patient care preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred)
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• State licensure (preferred, unless required by state)
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for certain locations; preferred prior)

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient's clinical history and lab work and documents for licensed practitioner.
• Positions and immobilizes patient to best demonstrate area of interest while ensuring comfort.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Performs radiographic procedures using imaging equipment and accessories.
• Verifies informed consent and completes pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assists licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures; applies aseptic technique.
• Performs timeout as required by policy.
• Identifies, prepares and/or administers medications/contrast as prescribed.
