Job summary

Mercy Health’s Anderson Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging under supervision. You’ll ensure patient safety, prepare images, and assist with fluoroscopic procedures while adhering to radiology protocols and documentation standards.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure (preferred), and BLS. Experience with RIS and PACS is preferred; Mercy offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an ARRT accredited institute (preferred).
• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
• State licensure (preferred, unless required by state).
• BLS Basic Life Support (required at hire for certain Mercy locations; preferred at hire, required prior to independent patient care).
• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred).
• Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient's clinical history and lab work for practitioner use.
• Position and immobilize patient to best demonstrate area of interest.
• Apply radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.
• Operate imaging equipment to perform radiographic procedures.
• Verify informed consent and complete pre/post procedure documentation.
• Assist licensed practitioner with fluoroscopy and specialized radiography; apply sterile technique as needed.
• Perform timeout as required by policy.
• Identify and prepare medications/contrast as prescribed.
