Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Associates Degree in Radiology is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in care and maintenance of Diagnostic Radiology equipment and supplies.
• Sets up and adjusts Diagnostic Radiology equipment per radiologist protocol for exams.
• Operates radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images with ALARA standards.
• Relies on knowledge of anatomy and physiology to obtain diagnostic images.
• Receives and reviews requests for radiologic studies.
• Assesses patient condition to determine proper handling and requirements.
• Explains procedures to patients and prepares them accordingly.
• Maintains aseptic technique and isolation procedures when appropriate.
• Assists with administration of medications under physician direction as needed.
• Performs duties required by the department for radiologic examinations.
• Assists with higher complexity exams such as myelograms, lumbar puncture.
• Performs quality control on images, maintains inventory, and adheres to safety regulations.
