Job summary

Mon Health Medical Park is seeking a Radiology Technologist for the Center for Outpatient Surgery to perform diagnostic imaging with low radiation exposure, supporting radiologists in a patient-centered environment.

You will handle procedures, patient positioning, RIS/PACS use, and equipment maintenance, while meeting licensure and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required.
• Radiologic Technologist license required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts procedures following policies to produce quality images while ensuring patient safety.
• Positioning and educating patients with age-appropriate techniques for an exceptional patient experience.
• Participates in staff meetings, self-education, in-services and required competencies.
• Operates RIS/PACS and other systems to ensure data integrity and patient confidentiality.
• Handles equipment according to guidelines and maintains stocked, clean rooms.

Job Summary

With a patient centered culture, the Radiology Technologist will provide quality care to patients for the purpose of diagnostic and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders while using as low as reasonably achievable radiation exposure to the patient and self.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Procedures
  Follows all policies, procedures and protocols to produce quality images while ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times, with observation from supervisor and/or praise received from radiologists, patients, students (if applicable), and coworkers for demonstrating high job knowledge, skill, and willingness to help others.
• Patient Care Positioning and Education
  Always remains patient and customer focused utilizing age-appropriate techniques to provide an extraordinary patient experience, compassionate care and clinical excellence one patient at a time.
• Performs Other Duties as Required
  Always participates in staff meetings (or signs off as reviewing meeting minutes when unable to attend), self-education, in-services, competencies, and maintains required job knowledge (e.g. licensure and credentials, continuing education) without prompting from manager, while following policies and procedures surrounding these requirements.
• RIS and PAC's
  Follows all policies, procedures, and protocols when operating computers to ensure patient confidentiality, validity of charges, validity of data in in all systems, and quality images submitted for radiologist's interpretation.
• Supplies and Equipment
  Follows all policies, procedures, and protocols and manufacturer's guidelines when handling equipment, while demonstrating proficiency in communicating issues and independently cleaning and stocking rooms.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Heavy WorkExerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 lbs. of force constantly.
Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with physicians and coworkers, and to instruct patients and their families.
