Responsibilities include: Performing imaging / therapeutic services, supporting patient care, and contributing to the Radiology Department's mission to provide diagnostic information for patient treatment at WVU Medicine.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of an Accredited Radiography School
• Registration (or eligibility) by the ARRT in Radiography; passing boards within the specified timeframe
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
• State-specific criminal background checks

Core Duties: Include rotating through diagnostic areas, performing imaging procedures, producing high-quality images, minimizing radiation exposure, patient assessment, preparing contrast agents, patient education, team collaboration, equipment reporting, completing in-services and competencies, and supervising radiology students.

Physical Requirements: Ability to differentiate shades of gray, stand and walk for prolonged periods, wear lead aprons, lift up to 50 pounds, and carry items up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment: Exposure to minimal radiation, airborne particles, bodily fluids, and operation of imaging equipment with automated parts.

Skills and Abilities: Positive interaction with patients and staff, prioritization, and improvisation in positioning techniques.
