Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist makes radiographs of the designated portions of the patient’s body.

Education, Training or Degree Required:

1. Graduation from an accredited school/program of Radiologic Technology

2. Satisfactory completion of a clinical rotation in Radiology prior to graduation.

License/Registration/Certification Required:

(will be primary source verified by HR)

1. Registration with ARRT or registry eligible.

2. Current CPR

Experience and Skills:

(indicate preferred or required)

1. Two years under a qualified and licensed Radiologist

2. Working knowledge of anatomy; understanding principles of physics and electricity required.

3. Knowledge of methods of exposure to obtain required films and be able to set up and operate equipment is required.

4. Ability to understand variations of anatomical positions such a supine, prone, lateral and upright and trendelenburg required.

5. Sufficient knowledge of patient care and sterile techniques to deal with all types of conditions.
