Northwest HealthCare, located six miles west of Christian, offers 24-hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center, and various outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

The Radiology Department at NWHC provides outpatient and emergency services, equipped with DR & PACS technology. Our patients range from infants to late adulthood. Digital mammography services include screening, diagnostic, and follow-up procedures. Diagnostic Radiology offers same-day service.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in general radiology on adults and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis and treatment, ensuring quality control. Assists staff technologists with patient care or imaging issues, serves as a resource, delegates tasks, and assumes supervisory responsibilities in their absence. Supports the development and training of students and new employees, providing ongoing mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients and equipment for procedures, providing instructions with high professionalism and customer service.
• Performs radiographic examinations independently, including on-call, portable exams, and other assigned tasks.
• Manages shift operations, including workflow, assignments, lunch schedules, and prioritization; enters/escalates IT and equipment tickets.
• Acts as a clinical resource and expert, assisting with difficult exams and mentoring team members.
• Serves as a clinical liaison between the team and leadership, ensuring proper communication and escalation when needed.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Associate degree or trade school equivalent

Experience

• 2-5 years

Supervisor Experience

• No experience required

Licenses & Certifications

• IEMA - Illinois only, excluding MRI
• Radiology Technologist - Registered

Preferred Requirements

Experience

• 5-10 years

Licenses & Certifications

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
