A leading healthcare provider seeks a patient care assistant specialized in radiology at their Charlotte location. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic x-rays under supervision, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting in administrative tasks within the imaging department. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and some clinical experience, focusing on delivering quality patient care.
Performs a variety of patient care duties and other professional activities as needed to facilitate patient care and treatment. Performs under the supervision of a radiology technologist. Assists in monitoring the flow of patient activities in the department.
Requires moderate to heavy physical effort in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operations. Frequently may need to stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel. May be exposed to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and proximity to moving equipment. Must adhere to radiation safety guidelines, MRI safety, and infection control protocols.
High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field. Clinical experience aligned with educational program pursuits in medical imaging; medical clerical skills are preferred.
