Atrium Health is looking for a dedicated individual to perform patient care duties and assist in diagnostic imaging. This role involves basic diagnostic x-rays, patient preparation, and supporting physicians and technologists during exams. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, along with coursework in a medical imaging field.

Job Summary
Performs a variety of patient care duties and other professional activities as needed to facilitate patient care and treatment. Performs under the supervision of a radiology technologist. Assists in monitoring the flow of patient activities in the department.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Requires moderate to heavy physical effort in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operations. Frequently may need to stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel in daily clinical activities. May be exposed to physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment. Must follow radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to ionizing radiation, MRI safety protocols, and infection control procedures as dictated by the procedural area.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field. Clinical experience based on an educational program related to a career in medical imaging. Medical clerical skills are preferred.
