Atrium Health Steele Creek Emergency Department, a facility of Atrium Health Pineville, provides 24-hour emergency medical services to the Steele Creek area. From broken bones and severe cuts to heart attacks and strokes, we are prepared to provide patients of all ages with the highest level of emergency care. Our expert staff includes physicians who are board-certified in emergency medicine. Plus, we are backed by the breadth and depth of Carolinas Medical Center, the region’s only Level I Trauma Center.
Performs a variety of patient care duties and other professional activities as needed to facilitate patient care and treatment. Performs under the supervision of a radiology technologist. Assists in monitoring the flow of patient activities in the department.
Requires moderate to heavy physical efforts in lifting and moving patients, equipment, and supplies. Occasional standing, walking, and sitting during normal operation. Frequently may be required to stretch, bend, twist, squat, or kneel in the daily operation of the assigned clinical area. May be exposed to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment. Must follow radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure to ionizing radiation, MRI safety, and infection control as dictated by the procedural area.
High School Diploma or GED with preliminary coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field. Clinical experience based on the educational program related to a career in medical imaging; medical clerical skills are preferred.
