Baptist Memorial Health Care in Memphis, TN, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiology equipment and conduct diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians. The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited radiography program and be registered with the ARRT. Responsibilities include maintaining safety, developing treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies. This role requires excellent judgment and participation in performance improvement activities.

Formación

• Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate waiting to take the registry.

Responsabilidades

• Perform radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implement procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Complete documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Participate in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities.
• Complete assigned goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Educación

Completion of a formal education program in radiography

Associates degree in related field

Overview

Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience

• Minimum Required: Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.

Education

• Minimum Required: Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.
• Preferred/Desired: Associates degree in related field

Licensure

• ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire. State license as required.
