Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Radiology Technologist to maintain technical skills for radiography procedures and evaluate radiographs for quality. The role requires competence in performing radiographic procedures according to protocols established by staff radiologists.

Responsibilities include:

1. Perform diagnostic procedures and ensure high-quality film production.
2. Monitor for artifacts and clean cassettes as needed.
3. Document procedures and stat reads following departmental policies.
4. Obtain patient history and assist radiologists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort.
5. Notify supervisor of supplies and equipment needs.
6. Shutdown and reboot radiologic equipment and computers as necessary.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education, Experience, and Skills:

• High School diploma or GED; graduate from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
• Experience as required by the department; ongoing training and competency assessments.

Licenses and Certifications:

• ARRT (R) or eligible, certified by Texas Department of State Health Services MRT program, and current BLS certification.
