This position, under the supervision of a radiologist and department leadership, involves performing imaging on general radiographic equipment. Opportunities exist to expand into modalities such as Interventional Radiology, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Bone Density. The role requires adherence to protocols, recognition of radiography anatomy, and use of RIS/PACS and HIS systems for record-keeping and results dissemination.
Responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures across various modalities.
- Follow appropriate scanning and imaging protocols.
- Ensure service excellence and policy compliance.
- Utilize RIS/PACS and HIS systems accurately.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
- Recent hospital-related experience (up to one year).
- Experience with digital imaging and PACS.
- Experience with portable and fluoroscopy procedures.
- Experience with operating room procedures.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current state R.T. license.
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
- ARRT Certification (required within 3 months of hire).
- Additional certifications such as specialty ARRT are highly desirable.
Skills and Abilities
- Competency in all certified modalities.
- Scheduling flexibility to support patient flow.
- Ability to care for patients of all ages, considering developmental and safety issues.
- Basic computer skills.
Additional Details
Pay Range: $28.71 - $42.45.
Location: Rutland, Vermont.
