Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment for routine and semi-complex radiographic exams. You will support a dedicated team devoted to compassionate patient care across multiple facilities in Kansas City area.

The role requires ARRT registration or eligibility, AMA-accredited education, and BCLS within 30 days of starting. You will handle image development, dosing protocols, and timely PACS transmissions while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an AMA-accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology.
• Must adhere to ARRT guidelines for 24 continuing education credits bi-annually.
• ARRT Registration required within 1 year of completing program (or registry eligible).
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established safety procedures.
• Develop and process radiographs and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and regulations.
• Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS with correct markers and data.
• Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients; clean and sterilize equipment.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Radiology Technologist operates standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. Schedule: Thursday-Saturday, 7:00am-7:00pm

What you will do in this role:

• You will prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• You will develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• You will administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• You will ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• You will turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
• You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology.
• Should adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits bi-annually.
• Must be ARRT Registered with ARRT – RT(R) or Registry eligible (must be registered within one year of completing program).
• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
