Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, FL is seeking a Full-time Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic imaging with high-quality results. You will maintain patient safety, operate equipment, and document procedures in EMR/PACS, while upholding infection control and ALARA principles.

Required: RT(R) with ARRT, Florida CRT, and 1+ year radiology experience. Benefits include day-one coverage, parental leave, and retirement plans. Shift is day-weekend, Friday-Sunday, 7am-7pm.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Associates degree preferred; bachelor’s degree optional.
• Florida CRT license and ARRT RT(R) required.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic equipment and perform procedures safely.
• Maintain patient comfort, safety, and privacy during procedures.
• Ensure rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
• Document imaging procedures accurately in EMR/PACS.
• Follow ALARA principles for radiation safety.
• Cross-train into advanced modalities as needed.
• Notify staff when inventory is low.

Job Description:

Shift Information: Friday-Sunday 7am-7pm

Sign On Bonus: $3,750 for eligible applicants

Relocation Bonus: $1,500 for eligible applicants

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds.
• Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely.
• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Cross-trains into advanced modalities as needed.
• Ability to follow basic radiation safety concepts of time, distance and shielding to keep exposure levels ALARA for patient and staff.
• Performs radiographic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images that meet department standards.
• Positions patients and equipment, selecting technical factors to produce radiographic images safely and in a timely manner.
• Performs imaging with correct patient demographic and examination information.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Assists patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and privacy, in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Associate [Preferred]
• Bachelor's [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Technologist – Radiography RT(R)(ARRT)) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Florida CRT [Required]

Pay Range: $21.56 - $40.09
